Many IT Directors know exactly what needs to change.
The challenge is finding the time and experienceto make it happen.

Practical, flexible, scalable and competitive ITSM leadership that helps organisations stabilise operations, improve service delivery and build stronger IT services, without adding unnecessary complexity

How we work.

How ITSM Direct brings an operation back under control.

There’s usually a pattern to how things drift.
Performance becomes inconsistent.
Ownership gets blurred.
Decisions are made on partial information.

Fixing it isn’t about one change, it’s about restoring control across the whole operation.

Frequently Asked Questions

What does ITSM Direct do?

ITSM Direct steps into IT operations where performance, ownership, or trust has drifted, and bring them back under control. That means stabilising how work flows, clarifying accountability, aligning teams and suppliers, and putting structure around how the operation actually runs.

When would someone typically bring us in?

Usually when things feel off, even if it’s hard to pinpoint why. Performance is inconsistent, services are failing to deliver,  pressure is building, confidence is low, or change has introduced instability and it’s clear the current model isn’t holding.  Other times when there are gaps in BAU leadership, process maturity or to help with ITSM Tooling such as ServiceNow, Ivanti, Freshservice, etc.  We cover all of IT Operations, transformation and maturity.

What kind of environments do you work in?

Complex, multi-team environments where delivery depends on coordination across IT functions, suppliers, and the business. Often large-scale operations where structure exists, but control has been lost.

We have provided services to organisations with a few hundred internal users, to organisations with 100,000 internal users and millions of customers.

How do you approach fixing IT?

We focus on understanding what’s really happening first, not just what’s being reported. Then we stabilise the operation, establish control over flow and ownership, and build a structure that holds under pressure.

Our approaches is deeply aligned with ITIL, and they give us the best results.

What types of engagement do you take on?

From short-term stabilisation to longer-term transformation, including interim leadership and advisory. The scope depends on the situation, not a fixed package.

Our engagements are business to business and meet outside IR35 status.  This removes certain tax liabilities from your organisation and ensures that services are kept professional.

What results can we expect?

Greater control, clearer ownership, and a more predictable operation. That typically translates into improved performance, reduced backlog, better visibility, and restored confidence from the business.

Who do you work with?

CIOs, IT Directors, and senior leaders responsible for service delivery and operational performance. People who need the operation to work,  not just look right on paper.

How do you work with internal teams?

Alongside them. The goal is to bring clarity and structure so teams can operate effectively, not to replace them.

Do you work on-site or remotely?

Both. It depends on the environment and what’s needed, but most engagements benefit from a mix of both.

How are engagements structured from a commercial perspective?

Around outcomes and defined scope, not open-ended tasks. This keeps focus on delivering control and results rather than just activity.

Can you support short-term or urgent situations?

Yes. In many cases, the priority is rapid stabilisation before moving into longer-term improvement.

Are we tied into long-term commitments?

No. Engagements are structured to deliver what’s needed, with flexibility depending on how the situation evolves.  You are tied in to a rolling 30 day commitment, unless agreed otherwise.

If things aren’t under control,
they won’t fix themselves.

Most IT operations don’t break overnight. They drift. Performance becomes inconsistent. Ownership gets blurred.

Confidence drops, slowly, then all at once. And the longer it’s left, the harder it becomes to pull back under control.

If that sounds familiar, let’s talk.
